One of Rosso’s most recent projects is Marea, a 30-unit multimillion-dollar condominium in the South of Fifth neighborhood in Miami Beach at 801 South Pointe Dr., which features penthouses selling for upwards of $7 million.
Residents will begin moving into Marea spring 2015.
What are not-so-common accommodations that millionaires have in their homes?
Millionaire buyers want VIP service and well-designed interiors. Concierge service is also important because residents’ activities are often international.
What are some considerations to take when designing homes for millionaires?
Privacy and security are most important. They want well-located projects with few residences, a high-speed private elevator for their units and sophisticated common areas. Exquisite pools and gardens hidden from public view create an estate-like atmosphere. A sunlit gym with sauna and lockers is a must, as are the panoramic vistas possible only in South Beach’s best neighborhood.
What are the most luxurious features at Marea?
For buyers at this level, glamour and functionality are required. At Marea, units come furnished with a fridge stocked with Krug champagne. The interiors are luxurious. Brazilian interior designer João Armentano collaborated with Artefacto, a Brazilian luxury furniture designer on customized interiors for Marea’s penthouses. Marea will have art by Markus Linnenbrink and Riccardo Marchi in the common areas.
